Open JWW (Jw_cad) drawings in AutoCAD
Received a .jww file from a Japanese partner? Convert it to a DXF that measures at real size in AutoCAD. Your files are processed inside this browser and never uploaded.
Drop JWW files here
or click to choose (.jww, several at once, no limit on the number of files)
In AutoCAD the Model tab is real size (1 unit = 1 mm) and the Layout1 tab is the Jw_cad sheet arrangement. Please check the result before use.
Features
- Preview and measure before downloading: See the model (real size) and Layout1 (sheet), click two points to measure with snapping to ends and centers.
- Save as PDF: A vector PDF of the sheet layout, at the drawing paper size or fitted to A4/A3. Lines, dashes, fills and Japanese text stay sharp at any zoom.
- Batch conversion, free, no file count limit: Drop many JWW files at once and download them all as one ZIP.
- Conversion report: Every dimension checked against the DXF, line weight changes, object counts and processing notes on one printable page.
- Real-size model space: Even sheets that mix 1:20, 1:3 and 1:1 details measure at real size. Every dimension is checked against the DXF on each conversion.
- Sheet layout rebuilt: Layout1 gets the paper size and one viewport per scale, matching the Jw_cad printout.
- Japanese text stays text: Text remains editable (MS Gothic / MS Mincho) with Jw_cad character widths and positions.
- Lines, arcs, ellipses, fills, dashed lines, blocks and layers are converted as they are. Only line weights are rounded to the nearest DXF standard weight.
- No upload: Everything runs in your browser.
- Works offline: After the first visit it works without a network, and it can be installed as an app.
Questions and answers
- Is it really free?
- Yes. No limits or fees for the number or size of files. The site is paid for by the ads on the page.
- Are my drawings uploaded?
- No. The conversion runs inside your browser; the drawing files are never sent to a server.
- Do I need Jw_cad?
- No. Any JWW file can be converted on a computer without Jw_cad.
- The sizes look wrong in AutoCAD
- The Model tab is real size (1 unit = 1 mm); Layout1 is the paper. Measure in the Model tab — mixed-scale sheets are real size there too.
- Which JWW versions are supported?
- JWW from Jw_cad 2.30 up to 8.x. The DOS .jwc format is not supported.
